What diet did Adele go on?

Photos of the incredibly thinner Adele have circulated on the Internet. Insiders claim that over the past year, she managed to lose 45 kilograms thanks to regular Pilates exercises and a sirtfood diet (Adele diet).

Adele herself has not yet said anything about this. In addition, earlier she defended her forms and categorically did not tolerate talking about losing weight.

And she decided on a radical transformation for the sake of her son. Recently, she began to feel worse and realized that it was for the sake of the child that she wanted to stay healthy and full of strength.

In the UK, the sirtfood diet has long been a known way to get in shape quickly. Royals, stars, and athletes use it as an SOS weight loss program.

In early 2018, Prince Harry attended the KH Fitness Club in Chelsea, preparing for his wedding to Meghan Markle, where the sirtuin diet is part of a wellness program. In addition, Pippa Middleton adhered to such a diet, preparing for the wedding. The actress Gwyneth Paltrow also loves the sirtfood program.

Who Invented the Sirtfood Diet?

In 2016, nutritionists Aidan Goggins and Glen Matten published The Official Sirtfood Diet. The authors independently developed the power supply system. The bottom line is in the selection of foods rich in resveratrol – a strong antioxidant. Resveratrol belongs to the class of sirtuins, cellular enzymes. Hence the name sirtfood (similar to superfood). The diet was based on foods high in antioxidant resveratrol.

The beneficial properties of resveratrol have long been known to scientists. They consider it to be an important tool in the fight against stress, regulating the aging process. Most often, an antioxidant is used in cosmetics.

One of the main myths about the sirtfood diet is the red wine diet. It arose because resveratrol is found in the skins of grapes and, accordingly, is present in high doses in wine. Hence the myth that wine helps to slow down the aging process and lose weight.

Goggins and Matten studied the effects of resveratrol and concluded that certain foods (walnuts, capers, dark chocolate, and red onions) stimulate sirtuin production in the body. The trick is that the body cannot receive this component from the outside, for example, as a food supplement. But you can influence its development on your own. Foods rich in polyphenols, that is, sirt foods, will help.

Each component of the sirtuin diet contains a combination of active ingredients. Nutritionists have identified food combinations that multiply the effect of the diet.

Sirtfood diet meal plan:

Main sirtfoods

  • walnuts;
  • capers;
  • Red onion;
  • dark chocolate (with at least 85% cocoa beans).

According to the authors of the diet, these foods activate the production of sirtuins in the body and help cells to regenerate.

Basic sirtfoods

Buckwheat, celery, chili, coffee, Extra Virgin olive oil, green tea, matcha, kale, garlic, dates, arugula, parsley, chicory, red wine (preferably Pinot Noir), soybeans, dark berries (cherries, strawberries, blackberries, blueberries, raspberries), turmeric, walnuts.

Based on these products, you can prepare sirtfood diet plan meals for your daily diet.

How to build the sirt diet system?

The first phase of nutrition is a seven-day express program. The goal is to lose up to 3.5 kilograms of weight. You kind of reboot your body. For this, there is a sharp restriction of food intake, which is replaced by specially prepared green juice.

You need to drink green juice in a certain sequence, 1-2 hours before a meal. For the first three days, you drink juice three times a day and eat one meal. On the fourth day – two juices and two meals, the remaining days – one serving of green juice and several meals.

All meals are sirtfoods.

Each day, the diet consists of 1000 calories. You can have dinner no later than 19:00. No semi-finished products. You can eat no more than 500 grams of red meat per week. Red wine is allowed to be drunk 2-3 times a week.

A seven-day course is recommended to be done no more than once every three months. The rest of the time, you can stick to your normal diet, but try to include as many of the sirtfoods as possible.

Effectiveness of the sirtfood diet also known as red diet:

How effective is the sirtfood diet? If you believe the adherents of sirtfoods (and judging by the changes in appearance – Adele, even Pippa Middleton, even Prince Harry), she perfectly helps to urgently get in shape, including dropping a couple of extra pounds before an important event. The EatWell Guidelines are recommendations from NHS professionals. Be honest about your strength: if you cut the calorie content in half and at the same time love to eat, be prepared that when you return to the previous nutritional indicators of the menu, the weight may return with an increase.

Secondly, the “gustatory” value of the diet ─ both wine and chocolate are possible ─ is very insignificant, because with the calorie content of these products, their quantity will be minimal (if you observe the specified fork 1000-1500 kilocalories). Thirdly, nutritionists advise not to forget that a sharp weight loss in the first week is mainly due to the withdrawal of excess fluid from the body. It starts with going to the gym regularly.
